Hi, my name is Jonathan "Andrew" Smith. I'm a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in public economics, labor economics, and the economics of education. I am also a 2025-26 NBER Global Math Talent Graduate Fellow.
Previously, I worked as a research assistant for Koichiro Ito at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC). In 2017, I graduated from Texas A&M University, with degrees in economics and applied mathematics.
